Do's & Don'ts
Air travel can be a convenient and enjoyable way to explore new places, but it also comes with some challenges and risks. Here are some do's and don'ts to help you have a smooth and safe flight.
✔️ Check-in online and print your boarding pass or download it to your phone. This will save you time and hassle at the airport.
✔️ Pack light and follow the baggage rules of your airline. You don't want to pay extra fees or have trouble fitting your heavy luggage in the overhead bin.
✔️ Bring a carry-on pouch with essentials such as your passport, ID, money, medication, snacks, water, headphones, and a book or tablet. You never know when you might face delays or lose your checked baggage.
✔️ Dress comfortably and wear layers. The temperature on the plane can vary, so you want to be prepared for any changes.
✔️ Arrive at the airport early and go through security as soon as possible. You don't want to miss your flight or have to rush to your gate.
✔️ Be polite and respectful to the airport staff and the flight crew. They are there to help you and ensure your safety.
✔️ Stay hydrated and move around during the flight. Drinking water and stretching your legs can prevent dehydration, stiffness and jet lag.
❌ Forget to check the visa requirements and travel restrictions of your destination. You don't want to be denied entry or face fines or quarantine.
❌ Bring prohibited items or liquids in your carry-on bag. You don't want to have them confiscated or cause security issues.
❌ Overeat or drink alcohol before or during the flight. You don't want to feel sick or uncomfortable on the plane.
❌ Sleep during takeoff or landing. You want to equalize the pressure in your ears by swallowing, yawning, or chewing gum.
❌ Be rude or disruptive to other passengers. You don’t want to disrespect their personal space and comfort.
❌ Ignore the safety instructions or the seat belt sign. You don’t want to break the rules and be unprepared for any emergencies.
